Aparan Area Development Programme

The situation with this sector is very poor because of depreciated agricultural equipment and lack of knowledge and skills on modern technologies in agricultural sector.

World Vision started its activities in this area by establishing the ADP from 2010 spring season. In the initial stage the ADP was embracing 10 rural communities and one urban. At the present time Aparan ADP embraces 15 rural communities and 1 urban community.

The goal of Aparan ADP is contributing to the transformation of communities that live with dignity in economically safe environment.

Child Protection

  • ADP supported with construction materials Aragats community kindergarten and school, Hartavan, Yernjatap, Dzoraglukh community schools for renovation of roves and floors.
  • Pipes for renovation of 860 meter drinking water supply systems were delivered to Vardenis community and 300 l/m for Shenavan community.
  • Safe playgrounds for children were installed in 7 communities (Aparan, Aragats, Hartavan, Yernjatap, Kuchak, Lusagyugh and Vardenis communities).
  • Kuchak community sport school was provided with construction materials for partial renovation.
  • Construction materials for Lusagyugh fish farm. 

Education

  • The sanitation system of Aparan N1 School was renovated.
  • ADP provided Aragats, Shenavan, Hartavan, Yernjatap, Aparan community kindergartens and preschools with furniture for children
  • 1155 children from 16 communities participated in Christmass event celebrations: concert, sports and painting competitions, theatrical performance.
  • 200 children from 11 communities participated in WVA Christian summer camps
  • Aparan ADP organized several excursions to Historical and cultural monuments in Echmiadzin, Alaverdi Akhtala Church, and Yeghipatrush Church.

Child Sponsorship

  • 3 community children have been supported to improve their health conditions through reporting their cases as acute.
  • 6 trainings on health and sponsorship standards were organized for community volunteers
  • 1250 Bibles were distributed through local priests to children
